We love Monday morning. It’s then that our whole work week lies ahead of us, full of possibilities and the chance to do what we love, writing instructions for the marvel of our time: computers. Folks take it for granted how fast computers are, but for us, the novelty has not worn off. Your computer can count from zero to one hundred million, perfectly, in about a second. Computers also store galactic quantities of information and enable us to communicate in unprecedented ways. This technology is new, but we already live in a world that would not be possible without computers and programmers like us to tell the computers what to do. In a nut shell, this is what we are about: bringing the staggering power of computers to bear on the everyday problems our clients face.
Xeo was formed in 2000 when our founder, Maurice McIver, traded in his Army uniform for the chance to work with clients one-on-one as a freelance database consultant. Through the years, he has been personally involved in each of the scores of applications the company has produced. Even today, though the company has grown to almost 20 people, Maurice works directly with our client’s CEO’s and end users alike so he can hear first-hand the how our solutions perform in the field and to pick up on the great ideas that our clients have for making software even better. We believe that this collaborative approach to software development and the personal involvement of our founder is a key reason for our success. Of course it doesn’t hurt that we love what we do!
