CHALLENGE Dellew-Pemco JV won a defense contract to maintain over 2,400 homes, to include painting, renovation, cleaning, and repairs on Oahu, Hawaii. However, due to legal delays, the JV was awarded the contract less than 30 days before commencement. Their database would need to track inventory, purchase orders, work orders, employees, labor, and generate invoices that would total over $400,000 monthly. Where would they find a system that could address all these requirements in less than 30 days?
SOLUTION Xeo Software worked with the JV to analyze requirements and created the system from scratch. The system captured work orders from day one, and other functionalities were quickly added in the weeks and months that followed. Since then, the system has tracked millions in labor and inventory for everything from angle valves to yellow wire nuts across 20 warehouses and offers users scores of reports that cover every aspect of the operation.
CHALLENGE USRider is the market leader in equestrian roadside assistance with coverage in the continental United States, Canada, and Alaska. USRider required a robust customer-facing web portal that would tightly integrate with an enterprise back office solution to execute critical business functions and enhance their ability to service their valued members.
SOLUTION First, Xeo built a robust, web-based account manager that allows members to view benefits and manage every aspect of their membership. CHALLENGE LRI is the largest center for independent living in Philadelphia, PA. Many of LRI’s clients employ personal-care attendants, and therefore must file quarterly and annual tax returns to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Federal Government. Manually creating hundreds of these tax returns each quarter was a huge effort. While LRI outsourced the payroll for these attendants to ADP, ADP could not provide a feature that would allow LRI to treat each client as a separate employer, as required by federal regulations.
SOLUTION Xeo built custom tax return software that met Liberty’s unique requirements for its quarterly unemployment compensation returns to the state and annual FUTA returns to the IRS. The software provided additional functionality to review and override individual returns and to file either electronically or by paper. In the end, a tedious and expensive task that used to take a department and temp accountants more than a week to complete can now be done more accurately by 1-2 people in much less time.
CHALLENGE Track every taxi driver and vehicle dispatched through one of the busiest airports in the Pacific using hand-held devices running Windows CE and barcode technology. Ensure that every driver has a valid license, is insured, is registered to service the airport, and whose vehicle is safe and clean.
SOLUTION In less than six weeks, Xeo Software built a point-of-sale system from scratch that helps ensure that every vehicle and driver that services the airport is fully qualified. In phase two, dispatchers at the curb and in the parking lots scan tickets and ID badges right into the database, along with a bundle of time stamped records that record volumes of detailed data about every driver's wait times and experience at the airport. Never before has the state of Hawaii had such assurance that the drivers who pick up the tourist meet all requirements.
CHALLENGE Calculate the amount of money required to maintain a ten-story apartment building over the next 20 years. Then scale up the system to track 60 unique housing projects.
SOLUTION BISCO contacted Xeo after they won a contract to inspect 60 public housing projects spread across the state of Hawaii. Xeo built a powerful and flexible system that allows the inspectors to track every cost variable in the projects, from the length of the sidewalks to the roof area, from the size of each door to the number of kitchen sinks. Our solution allowed BISCO to meet its cost analysis and budgeting requirements and even generate complex reports for the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
